In addition to configuration options related to specific gift card flows such as purchases and redemption, Cardigan provides some system-wide configuration options.

Notifications

Cardigan allows you to provide a list of one or more email addresses to be notified in the event the system detects a failure or potential issue related to gift card provisioning or redemption. When set, Cardigan will email a list of issues to each recipient as they occur (issues are batched to be sent every hour to avoid overwhelming your inbox).

Some of the types of issues that may be flagged include:

• Gift cards failing to provision, for example as a result of an invalid recipient email address;
• Gift cards failing to activate, for example due to a card number being invalid; or
• Gift cards failing to redeem, for example as a result of a double spend issue.
